State Farm Christmas Party

We took Aly and Payton to the State Farm Christmas Party on Saturday. Aly was very interested in Santa but when it was her turn to sit on his lap she freaked. She had fun playing the kids games and she got a Farm Fridge as her present which she really likes! Maybe she will like the Santa at the Little Village Christmas party next weekend.

Getting out the Christmas stuff

No sooner had we digested the turkey that we decided to get out the Christmas decor. Aly loves taking the ornaments off of the tree, we have already found a few around the house.

Thanksgiving 09

We had Thanksgiving at our house again this year. It's so much easier having everyone come to us then trying to pack up 2 little ones (could it be 3 next year???).
Mommy, Aunt Meghan, Aly and Payton before Turkey Time. Aly was still very tired!
The newest Turkey:)
Aly decided to eat after the rest of us had been finished for hours. Her Thanksgiving hot dog filled her up before nap.
Aly really wanted to play pool with the big kids!

Sibs

Aly and Payton have already started playing together.

Aly's Class Party

Aly had her class party on Friday. I got to go and join in the fun too!
Aly's class -- what a group!
All of the classes got to take turns going to all of the rooms to trick or treat. Mrs. Lewis dressed as an expectant mommy to tell everyone her good news!
Pinata fun!

Trick or Treat

We took Aly and Payton around the neighborhood for Tick or Treat. Aly was Minnie Mouse and Payton wore a pumpkin hat. Aly didn't really understand what was going on, but it was fun walking outside from house to house and we had a great night for it!
One of the few pictures with her ears on.
Asleep per usual.

Payton's Baptism

Payton was Baptised on Sunday. We weren't sure if we were going to be able to because Jeff had been sick since Friday, but he got better and we were able to welcome Payton into the Catholic Church.
Everyone in attendance.
Aly's Godparents, Payton's Godparents and their parents:)

Aly Feeding Shadow

Aly is always helping! She feeds Shadow by dumping the cup on the floor and then she tries to pick them up and put them back in before Shadow eats them all. Once the food is all off of the floor she dumps the cup again and the process continues until all of the food is gone.

Aly and Shadow

Aly and Shadow somehow managed to get the dog biscuit box stuck on Shadow's head. Aly kept trying to help get it off but Shadow was panicking and wouldn't let her. I helped after I took a few pics:)

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday to pick out pumpkins. Payton slept through the whole thing and Aly was more interested in playing with the rocks than picking out pumpkins.

Aly's Latest Obsession

Aly has been obsessed with the desk lately. She likes to take out all of the pens and pencils.

Aly and Payton

Aly, Payton and I are having fun at home together! Aly thought it would be fun to hang out in Payton's seat for awhile, I was just happy she was sitting for once!

Making Dinner with Daddy

Aly helped Daddy make her dinner - grilled cheese, she thought it was yummy!

Go Bucks!

Aly went to her first football party on Saturday. She stood in the center of the room and danced for everyone - she made her mother proud:)

Climber

Aly has discovered climbing! She climbs on everything!
Mommy and Daddy weren't paying as much attention to her as we should have because by the time we decided to go look for her she was already up on the kitchen table--oops.
So much for fresh air - Aly climbs up on the windowsill and pushes on the screen when the windows are open.

The dog gets the worst of it! This chair used to be just Shadow's.

The Past Month

I haven't updated in awhile so here are a few pics of what we've been up to...
Aly and I went to go visit Katie and Evan and EKar came to visit to. Aly and Evan seemed to have a good time together, especially being nice and loud at Roosters!
My mom has been going through all of my old toys and giving them to Aly. This stroller is about 25 years old, not sure how much longer it will last.
Aly has an obsession with shoes. She loves to put on our shoes and walk around in them and she is always bringing us her shoes to put on her and then she whines at the back door to go out and play.
Playing with Shadow. Aly pretty much beats the crap out of Shadow. She jumps on her back, pulls her ears, pinches her fur, teases her with food, you name it. Shadow just puts up with it. Hopefully Aly will not do this to PaytonEven though Aly doesn't use a bottle anymore we still call her sippy a ba-ba. When she is ready for bed she goes to the fridge and hits the door and says "ba-ba". Tonight we gave her the gallon of milk to see what she would do.

The New Little Village is Open

The day finally came! After lots of anticipation, and long days and nights we had our first day at the new center! It was exciting for everyone - kids, parents, staff. The building is 4x our old building so it's going to take some getting used to. In addition to all of the regular classrooms we have an indoor large motor room for the infants & toddlers, a school-age commons (complete with Wiis), a gym, locker rooms, a library, an art room, a music and movement studio, a theater and a kitchen. It's a little overwhelming since we are coming from 4 classrooms and 1 bathroom!
This is my classroom for the fall. It is set up for the 1st & 2nd graders over the summer.

This is Aly's room. She wasn't so sure about it at first and it didn't help that a 10 week old started today and took away some of the attention she is used to (good practice for when Payton comes), but she was pretty adjusted by the time we left.

Aly's First Surgery

Aly had her first surgery on Thursday, July 16. It was to open a blocked tear duct. It was a very quick procedure, but she still had to be put under which was very hard! She did great though and her eye is looking much better! The anesthesia did not have much of an after affect on her. She was running all over by the time we got home!
The eye docter sent her a stuffed animal and balloons, she loved the balloons!

A few pics of Payton

We had our 30 week check-up today and Payton and I are doing great! I am measuring 31 weeks and Payton looks to be weighing close to 4lbs already! My mom did an ultrasound (of course!) and a 3D one too. The 3D ones turned out really really great! My scanner is still not working so I had to take pictures of the pictures so they are a little blurry. The top one is Payton's face from a regular ultrasound and the bottom is a 3D.

"Bay-bay"

We have been showing Aly my belly and telling her that that is where the baby is so now she likes to lift up my shirt and "pat" (more like smack) my belly and say "bay-bay". We are trying to get her to say Payton but no such luck. She can say her name though:)

Playing in the dryer

Earlier this week I was moving laundry from the washer to the dryer and I looked over and saw that Aly had climbed up on the dryer and was trying to get in it. At first it surprised me and then I had to go get the camera to capture the moment! This child is always on the move and my ever growing belly is making it hard to keep up!
